Ultra-wide zoom for Canon SLR

The Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM is an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens built for Canon SLR cameras. It covers a 17-40mm focal range with a constant f/4 maximum aperture. Three aspherical elements and a Super UD glass element correct aberrations across the frame. A ring-type USM motor delivers fast and silent autofocus performance.

Close focus and filter limits

The lens focuses as close as 11 inches for near-subject detail. It accepts screw-in 77mm filters or up to three gel filters for creative control. Weather-resistant construction helps protect against dust and moisture during outdoor use. The barrel measures 3.3 inches in diameter, which determines filter compatibility and hood options.
