Versatile zoom for Canon EOS

The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens covers a 24-70mm focal range with a constant f/2.8 aperture. It uses 18 elements in 13 groups to deliver sharp images across the frame. The bundle includes Hoya 82mm UV and CPL filters, a cleaning kit and microfiber cloth. It fits full-frame and APS-C Canon DSLRs.

Upgrade from variable-aperture zooms

Photographers moving from slower kit lenses gain consistent f/2.8 brightness at every focal length. The wider aperture helps in low light and gives shallower depth of field for subject isolation. On APS-C bodies the lens becomes a 38.4-112mm equivalent, shifting its strength toward portraits and events. Buyers who need wider than 24mm or longer than 70mm on full-frame should look elsewhere.

Simple front-mount filters and care

The 82mm thread accepts the included UV and circular polariser filters without adapters. Attach the supplied lens hood to reduce flare and protect the front element. Keep optics clean with the provided cleaning kit and 5.8 x 5.8 inch microfiber cloth. No firmware or calibration steps are required for basic operation.
