Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens Kit

This bundle centres on the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, a normal-length L-series prime with a bright f/1.2 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field. The kit adds a 72mm three-piece filter set, a Pro Sling backpack, a SanDisk 64GB Ultra SDXC card, a card reader, a 12-inch flexible tripod, a card wallet, a lens cap keeper, a cleaning kit and a hand strap. It suits photographers who want a fast prime and essential accessories in one purchase.

Compatibility Check Before Ordering

The lens uses the Canon EF mount and is designed for DSLR cameras. Verify that your camera body accepts EF lenses and that you are comfortable with a fixed 50mm focal length. The included filters have a 72mm thread; confirm this matches the lens front diameter. The SanDisk card is a 64GB Ultra SDXC model; ensure your camera supports SDXC capacity. No other mount or format adapters are included in the bundle.

Ideal For Portrait And Low-Light Work

The fast f/1.2 aperture and ring-type USM make this kit a strong choice for portrait, event and low-light photographers who value shallow depth of field and quiet autofocus. The bundle supplies storage, protection and basic support gear for immediate shooting. Buyers who need zoom versatility, wider or longer focal lengths, or a lens designed specifically for mirrorless RF mount should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Does the kit include the lens caps and hood, or are they sold separately?

The box contains the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens, its E-72 II 72mm front cap, rear dust cap E, ES-78 hood and LP1214 case, plus a 72mm 3-piece filter kit, Pro Sling backpack, SanDisk 64GB Ultra SDXC card, card reader, 12-inch flexible tripod, card wallet, lens-cap keeper, cleaning kit and hand strap.

The title mentions a zoom lens, yet the 50mm f/1.2L is a prime — which version is actually supplied?

The bundle delivers the fixed-focal-length EF 50mm f/1.2L USM prime; the zoom reference in the generic specification is an error.

How does the f/1.2 maximum aperture affect depth of field when the lens is mounted on a full-frame DSLR?

At f/1.2 the plane of focus becomes extremely thin, letting you isolate a subject against a heavily blurred background, and the nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth circular bokeh highlights.
