Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Portrait Lens Bundle

This bundle pairs a short-telephoto prime with a 72mm filter kit, cap keeper and cleaning supplies. The Canon L-series lens is built for full-frame EF-mount DSLRs and also works on APS-C bodies where it gives a 136mm equivalent view. Its bright f/1.2 aperture suits portraiture and low-light shooting.

Mounts directly to Canon EF cameras

The 72mm filters thread onto the front element and the cap keeper attaches to the strap lug to stop lost caps. A floating optical system keeps sharpness consistent across the focus range, so the only setup step is removing the rear dust cap and clicking the lens into place.

Suits photographers who want shallow depth

Buyers who need zoom flexibility or a lighter walk-around lens should look elsewhere. The fixed 85mm focal length and large maximum aperture prioritise subject isolation over versatility, and the bundle adds protection and filtration rather than focal-range options.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM is focusing correctly after mounting it on my DSLR?

Attach the lens to your Canon DSLR, select a single focus point on a high-contrast subject, half-press the shutter to engage the ring-type USM, and confirm sharp focus appears in the viewfinder or live view.

Which items come in the bundle and what must I buy separately?

The bundle includes the Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM lens, front and rear caps, ES-79II hood, LP1219 soft case, a 72mm three-piece filter kit and a lens-cap keeper; no extra accessories are required for basic operation.

Should I choose the 85mm f/1.2L II or a zoom such as the 80-200mm f/2.8L for portrait work?

The 85mm f/1.2L II is a short-telephoto prime with a brighter f/1.2 aperture for shallower depth of field and better low-light performance, while the 80-200mm f/2.8L is a zoom with a narrower maximum aperture.
