Standard Zoom for EOS M

The Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lens in Graphite covers a 24-72mm equivalent focal length range on APS-C EOS M-series mirrorless cameras. Three aspherical elements control chromatic aberrations and distortions while specialized coatings reduce flare and ghosting. The bundle adds a 64GB memory card, filter kit, sling backpack, card reader, flexible tripod, card wallet, lens cap keeper, cleaning kit and hand strap. This kit suits photographers who want an all-in-one starting package for everyday shooting.

Stepping Up From a Kit Prime

The zoom range replaces a single fixed focal length by spanning wide-angle to short telephoto in one lens. Optical image stabilization helps when shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds. The step is worth it if you want framing flexibility without swapping lenses and need the bundled accessories for storage, protection and support. Buyers who want a faster maximum aperture or longer telephoto reach should look elsewhere.

Mount and Clearance Check

Confirm your camera uses the EF-M mount; the lens will not fit EF, RF or EF-S bodies without an adapter. The front filter thread measures 49mm, so any circular filters you already own must match that diameter. The flexible tripod included in the bundle is 12 inches tall; verify it meets your stability needs for the shooting situations you plan.

Questions about this item

What filter thread size does the Canon EF-M 15-45mm lens use for the included 3 Piece Filter Kit?

The lens has a 49mm filter thread, matching the filters supplied in the bundle.

How do I mount the lens onto my EOS M camera and what is the common mistake?

Align the white mount index on the lens barrel with the matching mark on the camera bayonet, then turn clockwise until it clicks; the step users miss is removing both the front E-49 cap and the rear EB dust cap before attaching.

Which accessories in the bundle will need replacement over time?

The Sandisk 64GB Ultra memory card and the cleaning kit consumables (solution, cloths) will eventually wear out or fill up and should be replaced.
