Compact Full-Frame Kit

The Canon EOS RP kit pairs a 26.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor with the versatile RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens. Weighing only 395g, the camera body is designed for photographers who want high-resolution stills and 4K UHD video in a portable package. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless remote control and direct image sharing to mobile devices.

Practical Limits of the RF Mount and Lens

The included RF24-105mm lens uses a variable maximum aperture of F4-7.1, which reduces light transmission at longer focal lengths. Optical image stabilization provides up to 5 stops of shake correction for steadier handheld shots. Autofocus focuses as close as 0.66 ft, while Center Focus Macro reaches 0.43 ft with 0.5x magnification. The lens construction uses 13 elements in 11 groups.

Setup Checks Before Ordering

Verify that your workflow supports JPEG and Raw file formats from a 26.2MP sensor. Ensure you have compatible SD cards for 4K UHD and 1080p video recording. The camera operates on the Canon RF mount system, so existing EF or EF-S lenses require a separate mount adapter. Confirm your computer meets requirements for the EOS Utility Webcam Beta Software if you plan to use the clean HDMI output or USB webcam function.
