Canon 10x32 IS Binocular

The Canon 10x32 IS Binocular is a roof-prism optic with built-in lens-shift image stabilization for steady handheld viewing. It suits birders, travellers and event-goers who want 10x magnification without the shake that usually comes with it. Two AA batteries power the system and the unit weighs 27.5 ounces.

Upgrade from non-stabilized 10x glasses

This model replaces standard 10x32 binoculars that rely solely on arm steadiness. The jump is worth it when you observe from a moving platform, in wind, or for long sessions where fatigue blurs detail. Normal IS handles moving subjects; Powered IS locks onto a single stationary target.

Sustained observation behaviour

The stabilization runs continuously on two AA cells so performance does not decay during extended glassing sessions. Super Spectra multi-coated optics and a field-flattener lens maintain edge-to-edge clarity and contrast over hours of use. The two-button interface lets you switch modes without breaking your viewing position.

Questions about this item

What size eyecups does the Canon 10x32 IS binocular have, and do they fold down for eyeglass wearers?

The binocular features fold-down rubber eyecups that can be retracted to accommodate users wearing eyeglasses, providing a comfortable viewing distance.

How do I activate the two image-stabilization modes using the two-button interface?

Press the IS button once for Normal mode suited to moving subjects, or press and hold it for Powered mode designed for stationary viewing; the system runs on two AA batteries.

When should I replace the AA batteries that power the lens-shift stabilization?

Replace the two AA batteries when the image stabilization becomes less effective or fails to activate, as the optical system operates conventionally without IS power.
