Ultra-wide fisheye zoom for full-frame EOS

The Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM is a constant-aperture zoom built for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras. It delivers a distinctive 180-degree angle of view at the 15mm setting, producing circular fisheye images that fill the frame. APS-C bodies can use it with an equivalent focal range of 12.8 to 24mm. It is not for photographers who need a rectilinear ultra-wide perspective.

L-series build with weather sealing and fluorine

The lens barrel features weather-sealed construction to resist dust and moisture during outdoor shoots. A fluorine coating on the front and rear elements repels water and oil, easing cleaning in the field. The EF mount fits directly onto compatible Canon DSLRs without an adapter. It does not suit RF-mount mirrorless bodies unless a separate mount adapter is added.

Ring USM and constant f/4 through the range

A ring-type ultrasonic motor drives fast, quiet autofocus with full-time manual override for precise adjustments. The constant f/4 maximum aperture maintains consistent exposure and viewfinder brightness from 8mm to 15mm. Two ultra-low dispersion elements and Sub Wavelength Coating suppress chromatic aberration, flare and ghosting under sustained shooting. The rounded 7-blade diaphragm renders smooth background highlights when stopping down toward f/22.
