24.2MP APS-C Mirrorless Kit for Content Creators

The Canon EOS R50 bundles a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processor with an RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens. It records UHD 4K 30p video and offers a 15 fps electronic shutter. The 12-piece bundle adds a 32GB SanDisk Extreme PRO card, tripods, flash, bag, filters and cleaning tools for immediate shooting.

Simple Setup with Included Accessories

Mount the lens to the RF bayonet, insert the supplied 32GB SD card and charge the battery to start. The vari-angle 3.0 inch 1.62m-dot touchscreen simplifies menu navigation and vlogging framing. The kit’s tabletop and full-size tripods need leg extension checks to avoid instability on uneven surfaces.

RF-S Lens and UHD 4K Recording Limits

The RF-S 18-45mm zoom covers a wide-to-short-tele range but its variable f/4.5-6.3 aperture restricts low-light performance and background separation. UHD 4K 30p recording uses the full sensor width without crop, yet extended clips may hit thermal limits. The 2.36m-dot EVF and 651-point Dual Pixel CMOS AF II assist composition but do not overcome the lens’s maximum aperture constraints.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 24.2MP APS-C sensor and DIGIC X processor are delivering 15 fps electronic shutter bursts?

Switch to electronic shutter mode, set continuous shooting, and hold the shutter button; the counter should show a sustained 15 frames per second rate.

Which accessories are included in the 12-piece bundle and what must I buy separately?

The bundle supplies the camera, RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens, 32GB Extreme PRO card, flash, 72-inch tripod, 6.5-inch tabletop tripod, gadget bag, 49mm UV filter, blower, card reader, micro HDMI cable, cloth, cleaning kit, lens pen and wrist strap; only extra batteries or larger cards are optional.

Should I choose the 32GB 95MB/s card or a larger capacity for UHD 4K 30p recording?

The included 32GB 95MB/s card meets the speed requirement for 4K 30p; choose a larger card only if you need longer recording time between offloads.
