Designed for EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro

The Canon LP816 is a soft zipper-type carrying case made specifically for the EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens. It provides compact protection to keep the optic looking like new during transport and storage.

Suits owners of this focal length

Photographers who carry the EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro will find a snug fit. Buyers using different focal lengths such as 18-150mm or 55-200mm zooms, or those needing a rigid shell for heavy impact protection, should look at other case styles.

Holds one prime lens securely

The pouch accommodates the 100mm prime with its hood reversed. It does not have space for additional lenses, teleconverters or larger zoom barrels such as 150mm or 200mm designs.

Questions about this item

Which lens does the LP816 soft case fit?

The LP816 soft case is made for the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens.

Can the LP816 case also hold my EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM or EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lenses?

The supplier notes the case is for the EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro; the EF-M 18-150mm and 55-200mm lenses are listed separately and are not confirmed to fit this case.

How do I know the case is protecting my 100mm macro lens properly after I put it inside?

The lens should sit snugly in the pouch with the flap or zipper fully closed and no part of the barrel exposed.
