Drop-In Filter Adapter for Canon EOS R

This Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R adds a drop-in filter slot so you can use circular polarizers or variable ND filters without threading them onto each lens. It is built for photographers who move between wide-angle and telephoto EF lenses on an RF-mount body and want a single filter position. The metal mounts on both sides give a rigid connection and the assembly is dust- and water-resistant.

Replaces front-thread filters

Instead of buying large-diameter filters for every EF lens, you insert one drop-in filter into the adapter and it works across the whole kit. The jump is worth it when you shoot wide angles with bulbous front elements that cannot take screw-in filters, or when you need to change polarization quickly without removing the lens. A clear filter is also available for protection-only use.

Simple bayonet fit with one alignment step

Mount the adapter to the RF body first, then attach the EF lens — the drop-in tray slides in from the side and locks with a click. The most common issue is forgetting to seat the filter tray fully, which can cause vignetting or light leaks at the edges. Keep the tray and contacts clean; dust on the filter surface shows up immediately in images.
