The Canon RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM is a compact, lightweight zoom lens built for EOS R series mirrorless cameras. It covers a versatile 100-400mm range suited to wildlife, sports and travel photography. Nano USM delivers fast, smooth and quiet autofocus. A configurable control ring gives quick access to shutter speed, aperture and other settings.

Mount and extender flexibility

The RF mount design works natively with EOS R bodies and accepts both RF 1.4x and RF 2x tele extenders, pushing effective reach to 560mm and 800mm respectively. A single Ultra Low Dispersion element near the front corrects chromatic aberration across the zoom range. Minimum focusing distance is 2.89 feet at 200mm with 0.41x maximum magnification at 400mm.

Stabilised handheld shooting

Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to 5.5 stops of shake correction on its own. Coordinated IS with IBIS-equipped EOS R cameras extends correction to 6 stops. The variable F5.6-8 aperture keeps the barrel compact and light for extended handheld sessions. No tripod collar is included in the box.
