Canon RF 20mm f/1.4 L VCM Ultra-Wide Prime

This premium L-series lens delivers a 94° angle of view at 20mm with a bright f/1.4 aperture for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The Voice Coil Motor and Nano USM combine for rapid, near-silent autofocus suited to both stills and video work. Weather-sealed construction withstands demanding outdoor environments.

Upgrade from narrower primes or slower zooms

Photographers limited by f/2.8 or tighter fields of view gain significant low-light capability and expansive perspective for astrophotography and architecture. The dual autofocus drive is worth the step up when silent tracking and decisive moment capture are essential for professional workflows.

Verify RF mount compatibility

Ensure your camera uses the Canon RF mount before ordering. Front filter threads measure 67mm while the included kit provides 58mm filters requiring step-up rings. Rear gel filter holder is supplied for specialised creative effects.

Questions about this item

Will 67mm filters thread directly onto the front of this 20mm f/1.4 lens?

Yes, the lens barrel accepts 67mm front filters and a rear gel-filter holder is also supplied.

What is the correct way to attach the EW-73H hood so it does not vignette at 20mm?

Align the hood's mounting index with the lens dot, rotate until it clicks, and ensure the petals sit horizontally for the 94° angle of view.

When should I replace the 58mm filters in the 3-piece kit?

Swap them if the glass shows scratches, coating wear, or persistent smudges that cleaning cannot remove.
