Wide-angle L-series lens

The Canon RF 20mm f/1.4 L VCM is a wide-angle prime lens built for Canon EOS R-series mirrorless cameras. Its 20mm focal length and fast f/1.4 maximum aperture suit landscape, astrophotography, street and architectural work. The optical design uses 15 elements in 11 groups, including Super UD, UD, BR and aspherical lenses for high clarity. A Voice Coil Motor drives fast, quiet autofocus with minimal focus breathing.

Photographers needing fast wide coverage

This lens fits shooters who want a bright, wide prime for stills or video on a full-frame R-system body. The dedicated manual iris ring and linear focus motor support professional video workflows. Buyers who need zoom flexibility or a longer focal length for distant subjects should look at a different optic.

f/1.4 maximum aperture

The f/1.4 aperture is the specification that determines low-light capability and depth-of-field control. It enables fast shutter speeds in dark scenes and strong subject separation with 11 aperture blades for smooth bokeh. If your work demands a smaller, slower lens or a different focal length, this is not the right choice.
