Canon RF 24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM camera lens

Everyday zoom for full-frame RF cameras

This Canon RF 24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens covers a standard wide-angle to telephoto range on full-frame Canon RF-mount mirrorless bodies. It is aimed at creators who want a single, lightweight lens for landscapes, cityscapes, street scenes and portraits without carrying multiple primes. The variable aperture keeps the barrel compact for daily carry and vlogging setups.

Compact build with stabilised handling

A lightweight, compact design makes the lens easy to pack and comfortable for extended handheld sessions. Optical Image Stabilizer technology compensates for up to 4.5 stops of camera shake, helping produce sharp photos in difficult lighting without a tripod. The STM stepping motor delivers fast, quiet and smooth autofocus that suits both still shooting and video recording. A minimum focusing distance of 11.8 inches allows close-up work on products or details.

Upgrade from kit zooms or smartphone capture

Photographers moving on from basic kit zooms or phone cameras gain a wider focal range, optical stabilisation and near-silent focus motors in one package. The jump is worth it when you need reliable low-light handheld performance and smooth focus pulls for video. Buyers who require a constant wide aperture throughout the zoom range or weather-sealed construction should look elsewhere.
