Wide-Angle Prime for RF Mount

The Canon RF 24mm f/1.4 L VCM is a fast, wide-angle prime lens built for full-frame RF-mount mirrorless cameras. It suits photographers and videographers who need bright low-light performance and a 24mm field of view for landscapes, astrophotography or environmental portraits. The L-series designation signals professional-grade optical quality. The kit adds a sling backpack and accessories for a complete shooting package.

L-Series Build and Included Extras

The lens barrel carries Canon's L-series weather-resistant construction and a fluorine coating on the front element that repels dust and moisture. A 67mm filter thread accepts the included three-piece filter kit and the supplied 67mm lens hood (EW-73G). The bundle also provides a 12-inch flexible tripod, cleaning kit, hand strap, 64GB UHS-I SDXC card, card reader, wallet and lens cap keeper, all stored in the sling backpack.

VCM Autofocus and Close-Focus Limit

A Voice Coil Motor (VCM) paired with Nano USM delivers fast, near-silent autofocus suited to video work, while a manual iris ring and AF/MF switch give tactile control. The minimum focus distance is 9.4 inches, which restricts extreme close-up magnification compared to macro optics. The rear filter holder adds creative flexibility but does not replace front-thread filters for polarisers or ND effects.
