Everything arrives new in one package.

Suits Travel and Street Shooters

Photographers who want a light, wide prime for daily carry and low-light work will appreciate the bright f/2.8 aperture and close-focusing ability. Videographers gain a quiet STM motor in a tiny form factor. Buyers who need zoom flexibility or longer focal lengths should look at other lenses.

Handles Everyday Scenes Comfortably

The 28mm focal length covers environmental portraits, architecture and interior shots with natural perspective. The f/2.8 aperture provides usable shutter speeds in dim conditions and shallow depth of field for subject separation. The 64GB card stores thousands of JPEGs or hundreds of RAW files. Telephoto reach and macro magnification beyond close-focus are not available.

Questions about this item

Does this 28mm f/2.8 STM lens need a full-frame Canon RF-mount camera to work?

Yes, the lens is built for Canon RF-mount full-frame cameras and will not mount on EF or EF-M bodies without an adapter.

Can I keep using my existing 55mm thread filters on the bundled 3-piece filter kit?

The lens takes 55mm filters, and the included 3-piece kit matches that thread size, so your current 55mm filters will fit directly.

How can I confirm the STM autofocus is operating smoothly after mounting the lens?

Half-press the shutter; the focus motor should move silently and the viewfinder or screen image should snap into sharpness without hunting.
