Kit Contents

The bundle centres on the Canon RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM prime lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras and adds a sling backpack, photography software, 64GB UHS-I SDXC card, three-piece 67mm filter kit, 12-inch flexible tripod, cleaning kit, 67mm hood, hand strap, card wallet, card reader and lens-cap keeper. It is aimed at photographers and videographers who want a single-package solution for portraits, street work and cinematic projects.

Sustained Operation

The lens uses a Voice Coil Motor and Nano USM to deliver fast, precise and near-silent autofocus during extended video takes, while the manual iris ring and AF/MF switch give tactile control without hunting. Weather-sealed construction protects the optical group — one ultra-low dispersion element, two aspherical elements and ASC, SSC and fluorine coatings — from dust and moisture so contrast and colour stay consistent across long sessions.

Interface Limits

The RF mount communicates aperture and focus data electronically, and the 67mm filter thread accepts standard circular filters without vignetting at the 50mm focal length. Minimum focus distance is 15.7 inches, which defines the closest working distance for close-up detail. The included UHS-I card supports the camera’s write speed for still bursts and video bit-rates within the UHS-I specification.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM generate during all-day video shoots?

The lens has no internal fan and draws minimal power from the camera body, so it adds virtually no heat or audible noise during extended recording sessions.

Which camera body and mount must I already own to use this kit?

You need a full-frame or APS-C Canon mirrorless camera with the RF mount; the lens will not fit EF, EF-S or RF-S bodies without an adapter.

Will the 67 mm filter thread and 15.7 in minimum focus work with my older EF 50 mm lenses on an adapter?

The 67 mm thread matches many legacy Canon filters, and the 15.7 in close-focus distance is comparable to earlier 50 mm designs, so existing accessories and working distances carry over.
