Professional 50mm RF-mount cinema lens

This Canon RF 50mm T1.3 lens is a native RF-mount prime built for professional photography and videography. It delivers crisp, richly contrasted images rated for 8K and HDR capture. The lens forms part of a seven-focal-length series covering 14, 20, 24, 35, 50, 85, and 135 mm.

Suited to RF-mount cinema workflows

It suits cinematographers and photographers who need consistent gear positioning and uniform front diameter across the full prime set. Real-time metadata capture and in-camera electronic distortion correction streamline production. Buyers who require autofocus or a zoom range should look at alternative lens types.

Verify RF-mount compatibility before ordering

Confirm that your camera body uses a native RF mount, including supported third-party models. The T1.3 aperture and manual focus design demand exposure and focus control appropriate for cinema workflows. Ensure your matte box and follow-focus accessories match the shared gear position and front diameter of the series.

Questions about this item

Does this 50mm T1.3 lens need an RF-mount camera to operate?

Yes, it is built with a native RF mount and works on RF-mount cameras, including third-party bodies that use the same mount.

Will the 50mm T1.3 share focus gear position with my existing 24mm and 85mm RF cinema primes?

All seven RF Prime Series lenses — 14, 20, 24, 35, 50, 85, 135 mm — use identical gear positioning and front diameter for consistent follow-focus setup.

How can I verify the 50mm T1.3 is capturing 8K HDR footage correctly after mounting?

Check that the camera displays real-time lens metadata and applies electronic distortion correction automatically, both signs the lens is communicating properly.
