Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM Lens

The Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM is a super-telephoto prime lens designed for full-frame Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras. Its retractable design and fixed f/11 aperture create a compact, lightweight form factor suitable for handheld shooting. The bundle includes a UV filter, lens cap keeper, and cleaning kit for immediate use and protection.

Fixed f/11 Aperture and 800mm Reach

The fixed f/11 aperture provides a balanced depth of field while maintaining the lens's portable profile. Optical image stabilization offers up to four stops of correction to help produce sharp images in difficult lighting. Gapless dual-layer diffractive optics reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. This lens is not for photographers who require a wider maximum aperture for low-light work or shallow depth of field control.

Questions about this item

Will the RF mount on this 800mm lens fit my older EF-mount Canon body if I keep using it?

The lens uses the RF mount which is exclusive to Canon mirrorless cameras; it cannot be attached directly to an EF-mount DSLR.

How can I confirm the four-stop optical image stabilisation is active after mounting the lens?

Half-press the shutter button and look for the stabiliser icon in the viewfinder or on the rear screen; a steady image at 800mm handheld indicates it is working.
