Digital Package for PC

Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara delivers two classic Capcom arcade titles in one downloadable package for Windows PC. The collection includes Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara, rebuilt for modern systems and distributed through Steam. Players choose from multiple character classes and battle mythical beasts using melee, ranged and magic attacks. Up to four people can join the adventure together.

Minimum System Requirements

The game runs on Windows Vista or newer and does not support Windows XP. An Intel Dual Core 1.8GHz processor or AMD Athlon II X2 equivalent meets the minimum CPU requirement. A Steam account is mandatory for activation and installation. No dedicated graphics card or specific memory amount is listed in the requirements.

Upgrade From Original Arcade Cabinets

This release replaces the need for original arcade hardware or emulation setups to experience these titles authentically. The GGPO-powered netcode enables drop-in drop-out online co-op that the cabinets never offered. House Rules add modifiers such as unbreakable equipment and timed enemy rushes for replay value. Buyers who want physical media or offline play without Steam should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Steam code for Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara model 60651, and what step is often missed?

Redeem the code in the Steam client, then download the 2013 release; the step people skip is ensuring the OS is Windows Vista or newer because Windows XP is not supported.

What future maintenance will this downloadable game need?

The game itself requires no physical upkeep; only keep the Steam client updated and retain access to the account used for activation in case a re-download is needed.

What is the first limit reached during long play sessions?

The minimum processor requirement of an Intel Dual Core 1.8GHz or AMD Athlon II X2 sets the performance floor; sustained play on lower hardware will hit CPU bottlenecks first.
