What you get

Capcom 79460 Monster Hunter Stories is a new downloadable PC game delivered as a Steam online code. The RPG shifts the series focus from hunting monsters to raising and bonding with them in a story-driven adventure. Activation requires a Steam account and is restricted to select countries listed in the specifications.

How it differs from the main series

Unlike traditional Monster Hunter titles, this entry casts you as a Rider who forms lifelong bonds with monsters instead of hunting them. The jump is worth it for players who want a narrative RPG experience with turn-based combat and full Japanese and English voice acting. A new museum mode adds music and concept art for deeper world immersion.

Build and platform fit

The game runs on Windows 10 or 11 64-bit systems and requires a 64-bit processor such as an Intel Core i5-3470 3.20 GHz or equivalent. A Steam account is mandatory for activation and installation. Buyers in blocked regions including Japan, China, and Russia cannot activate the code, and console players have no access to this PC version.
