The Onimusha: Way of the Sword Deluxe Edition delivers the base action-adventure game plus a pre-order bonus pack. Players receive four in-game items: the Lion Dog and White Monkey charms, plus the Sealed Curse and White Lion sword appearances. Charms strengthen Miyamoto Musashi's abilities and can be swapped from the Equipment screen. Sword appearances are purely cosmetic and change visual style without altering combat performance.

Gameplay Loop and Progression

The title centres on gritty, blood-soaked brawls as a samurai wielding an Oni Gauntlet stands against the Genma menace in Kyoto. Combat revolves around melee encounters where players search for their reason to fight across a structured narrative path. Charms and cosmetic swords unlock gradually through the Spirit Mirror menu and Equipment screen as the story advances. The experience is designed for single-player engagement with no multiplayer component described in the specifications.
