What the Capresso EC50 delivers

The Capresso EC50 is a pump-driven espresso and cappuccino machine finished in black and silver. It uses a 1350 W heating system and a 42 oz water tank to produce coffee drinks. The stainless-steel housing contains plastic and glass components. This unit suits home users who want automatic espresso preparation without manual lever operation.

Check before you order

Verify that your countertop can accommodate the appliance and that a standard mains outlet can supply 1350 W. The 1.31 quart water tank requires regular refilling, so consider access to a sink. Ensure you are comfortable cleaning the removable drip tray and frothing wand after each use. No plumbing connection is needed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers wanting a compact, fully automatic pump machine for daily espresso and milk drinks will find the EC50 fits the brief. It is not for users who need a built-in grinder, programmable drink profiles, or a larger boiler for back-to-back shots. Anyone requiring a direct water line or commercial-grade steam pressure should consider a different class of machine.

Questions about this item

Does the Capresso EC50 117.05 include a carafe or must I buy one separately?

The machine ships with a glass carafe included in the box, so no separate purchase is needed for basic brewing.

Should I choose the 42 oz water tank version or a larger capacity for daily use?

The 42 oz (1.31 quart) tank is the only capacity offered on this model and suits several drinks before refilling.

What does the 1350 W rating mean for heat-up time in my kitchen?

At 1350 W the pump and boiler reach brewing temperature quickly, typically within a minute or two from cold.
