Compatibility with CP.3 Lenses

The Zeiss Interchangeable Mount Set EF adapts Compact Prime CP.3 lenses — specifically the 15mm T2.9 and the 50/85mm T2.1 — to Canon EF-mount cameras. It is built for cinematographers who need to use these primes on EF bodies. It does not support lenses outside this CP.3 focal range or other mount systems.

Flange Depth Adjustment Included

Colored plastic shims are supplied for precise flange depth adjustments, giving the installer the headroom to dial in optimal focus alignment. Without the shims the adapter cannot compensate for manufacturing tolerances, so accurate infinity focus cannot be guaranteed. The shims provide the only means of fine-tuning the mount distance.

EF Mount Interface Limits

The adapter connects CP.3 lenses to the Canon EF bayonet, inheriting the flange distance and electronic protocol of that mount. It adds no electrical contacts, so lens metadata and aperture control remain unavailable. The mechanical link is fixed to the EF standard, preventing use on PL, E, F or MFT bodies without a separate mount set.
