Genuine Canon imagePROGRAF matte black toner

The CAROLINA CNM6680B001 is a genuine Canon PFI-706 Hi matte black toner cartridge designed for the imagePROGRAF IPF8300 large-format printer. It supplies 700 ml of pigment-based ink for professional graphics and proofing workflows. Buyers needing colour or photo-black inks must purchase separate cartridges.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

As a passive toner cartridge it generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no electrical power during printing. The printer itself manages all thermal and acoustic output while the cartridge simply delivers ink to the print head.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PFI-706 matte black cartridge in the imagePROGRAF iPF8300, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, pull the lever to release the old cartridge, insert the new PFI-706 until it clicks, then close the lever and cover; the step often missed is failing to fully seat the cartridge before locking the lever, which prevents the printer from recognising the 700 ml supply.

What maintenance or replacement will the PFI-706 cartridge need after the 700 ml yield is used?

Once the 700 ml matte black ink is depleted, the PFI-706 cartridge itself must be replaced with a new genuine Canon PFI-706; no separate print-head servicing or chip reset is required for this cartridge model.
