Handwoven Water Hyacinth Storage Bin

This handwoven bin is crafted from natural water hyacinth with a wire frame for stability. Its boat-shaped design and wide opening suit bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms and living rooms. The eco-friendly material adds rustic elegance while organising blankets, toys or laundry. Buyers who need water-resistant containers for outdoor use should look elsewhere.

Indoor Use and Simple Care

The basket is designed for indoor use only and must be kept away from water to preserve its natural fibres. Cleaning requires only a gentle dusting with a soft cloth or duster. No power draw, noise or thermal output is involved in its operation. Those seeking sealed or washable storage will find this bin unsuitable.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The wire frame maintains the bin's shape when filled with heavy items such as throw blankets or pillows. Sturdy woven ring handles allow the loaded basket to be carried between rooms without deforming. The natural material shows no structural fatigue under continuous domestic loads. Buyers who require rigid plastic walls for stacking should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the Casafield STO-B4649-NAT basket and what is the common mistake?

No assembly is required; simply unfold the wire frame until it locks into the boat shape. The step people miss is fully seating the frame corners so the 20 by 15-1/2 inch base sits flat and the 18 inch height holds.

What maintenance will the water hyacinth bin need over time?

Dust gently with a soft cloth or duster. Avoid all water exposure and keep the basket indoors; moisture weakens the natural fibres and the wire frame can rust if damp.

What limit appears first when the basket is loaded heavily every day?

The handwoven water hyacinth sides will stretch or fray before the wire frame bends, especially if the 20 by 15-1/2 by 18 inch volume is packed tightly on a regular basis.
