17.3 laptop case for daily transport

The Case Logic DLC-117BLACK is a polyester bag built to carry a notebook with a 17 in. screen. A dedicated compartment fits laptops up to 15.6 in., while an elevated nylex-lined pocket protects a tablet up to 10.1 in. It suits commuters and students who want one bag for both devices.

Limits of the 15.6 in. laptop sleeve

The padded laptop compartment is sized for devices up to 15.6 in., so a larger 17.3 in. machine will not fit inside that sleeve. The main cavity can still hold the bigger notebook, but it loses the dedicated padded protection. Buyers needing a fitted sleeve for a 17.3 in. laptop should look elsewhere.

Capacity for accessories and travel

The front organization panel holds a phone, media player, business cards and power cords in one place. A zippered back pocket adds a smartphone slip pocket for quick access, and a pass-through strap slides over rolling-luggage handles. The bag weighs 1 lbs. and offers no extra volume for bulky gear or overnight clothing.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 17.3 inch model or a smaller size for my 15.6 inch laptop?

The dedicated laptop compartment fits up to a 15.6 inch display, so this 17.3 inch case accommodates your device with room for the padded 10.1 inch tablet pocket.

How much protection does the nylex-lined pocket give a 10.1 inch tablet?

The elevated, padded pocket is lined with soft nylex to guard the screen and body of a tablet up to 10.1 inches during transport.

What does the pass-through panel do when I am rolling a suitcase?

The back panel sleeve slides over a rolling luggage handle, letting the case ride securely on top without a separate strap.
