Included hardware

The package supplies the 5.53-inch square plate and a set of mounting screws so installation can be completed without painting or remodelling. The Amazon Smart Thermostat itself is not included in the box.

Build and fit

The plate is moulded from hard polycarbonate with a polished white finish that resists wear and keeps its shine over time. At 5.53 inches on each side and weighing 0.068 kilograms, it sits flush against the wall and uses the standard decorator screw pattern for a secure, straightforward mount.

Questions about this item

Will the polycarbonate finish need any special cleaning or recoating over time?

The hard polycarbonate plate keeps its shine with ordinary wiping; no paint or recoating is required.

What stops me from fitting this plate on a different thermostat model?

The 5.53 in square cut-out matches only the 2021 Amazon Smart Thermostat, so other models will not align.

Does the plate get warm or draw power when the thermostat runs continuously?

The cover is passive polycarbonate with no electronics, so it adds no heat and uses no power.
