Protection Needs Met and Unmet

The TPU skin provides waterproof, dust-proof and scratch-resistant defence against spills and contaminants for daily office or travel use. Users requiring EU or JP keyboard layouts, or those with older ThinkPad generations, should look at alternative protection options.

Washable TPU Material Benefits

Made from 0.3mm premium engineering grade thermoplastic polyurethane, the cover is flexible, reusable and washable for repeated cleaning or disinfecting. Ultra-thin construction maintains typing comfort while each key is individually moulded for precise fit.

Questions about this item

Does this cover fit a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 14 inch 12th Gen 2024 with a US keyboard layout?

Yes, it is made for the 12th Gen 2024 and 13th Gen 2025 models and only fits the US version where the Enter key is a rectangle.

Will the cover stay in place if I close the lid on my 13th Gen 2025 laptop?

The skin is ultra thin at .3 mm so it will not hurt the screen or prevent the lid from closing fully.

How can I verify the cover is protecting against spills after I install it?

The waterproof TPU material forms a sealed layer over each key; you can test by dripping a small amount of water on the surface and confirming it beads up and wipes away without reaching the keyboard.
