CASIO B1-W-3 Label Printer

The CASIO B1-W-3 is a direct thermal desktop label printer designed for portable use in offices, homes and small businesses. It prints on 2-inch wide media using inkless thermal technology and connects via Bluetooth or USB. The unit weighs 293 grams and includes a rechargeable battery with auto-shutoff after 15 minutes of inactivity. One roll of 1.18-inch white labels is supplied in the box.

Upgrade from Handheld Labellers

This printer replaces manual handheld label makers and basic desktop units that lack wireless connectivity. The jump is worthwhile when you need Bluetooth printing from iOS or Android devices without driver installation on mobile platforms. USB connectivity adds support for legacy Windows systems including Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. The 64MB flash memory stores templates for repeat jobs, removing the need to re-enter formats each time.

Suits Mobile-First Workflows

The device suits users who create labels on phones or tablets and value inkless operation with minimal consumables. The companion app provides 30-plus fonts, 100-plus borders and 1500-plus symbols for custom layouts. Buyers who require colour printing, wider than 2-inch output or continuous high-volume throughput should consider alternative solutions. The compact ABS housing fits tight workspaces but limits roll capacity to a single disk.

Questions about this item

What are the exact width, height and depth of this 293 g printer?

The unit measures 14.33 in wide, 12.83 in high and 9.06 in deep, so check your shelf or desk space against those dimensions before ordering.

Which step do users most often miss when setting up the Bluetooth connection?

After downloading the NIIMBOT app you must select "B1" as the printer model before pairing; skipping that selection causes the device to stay invisible to the phone.

When will the rechargeable battery need attention?

The built-in battery powers the printer until it can no longer hold a charge; at that point the unit must be connected via USB to continue printing.
