Product Identity

The Casio EXILIM EX-TR15 is a 12.1MP digital camera kit designed for self-portrait enthusiasts. Its unique hinged frame lets the camera unit swivel for flexible composition on surfaces or when hanging. Built-in Wi-Fi enables remote shooting and image transfer via smartphone. The kit suits users who prioritise creative self-capture over conventional handling.

Thermals Noise Power

The compact body runs silently during stills and 1080p video recording with no audible fan noise. Power draw stays low thanks to the EXILIM Engine HS Ver. 2.3 processing stills and video efficiently. The 1/1.7" BSI-CMOS sensor handles light well without generating excess heat during extended use. Normal shooting sessions remain comfortable and quiet.

Deciding Specification

The 21mm equivalent F2.8 lens on a 1/1.7" sensor determines the field of view and low-light capability for every shot. This fixed wide-angle prime cannot zoom optically, so buyers needing telephoto reach must look elsewhere. The 3-inch 921k touchscreen serves as the sole framing and control interface. Wi-Fi connectivity supports smartphone remote control and wireless transfer only.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 21mm equivalent lens for self-portraits using the hinged frame?

Open the hinged body to swivel the camera unit inside the frame, then position it on a table or hang it from a door knob to compose the shot at the 21mm equivalent focal length.

What part of the 1/1.7" BSI-CMOS sensor or F2.8 lens will need cleaning over time?

The lens surface and sensor may collect dust; clean the F2.8 lens glass with a microfibre cloth and use a blower on the 1/1.7" BSI-CMOS sensor when image spots appear.

When does the 3-inch 921k touchscreen become difficult to view during extended outdoor shooting?

In bright sunlight the 3-inch 921k touchscreen can wash out, making composition and menu navigation harder after prolonged use.
