Portable 2-inch thermal label printer

The CASIO S1-Gray-001 is a direct thermal desktop printer built for portable label and sticker creation. It prints on 2-inch media without ink or ribbons, using heat-sensitive paper loaded with the thermal side facing the print head. The unit weighs 0.231 kilograms and measures 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D. It targets students, home organisers and light-duty crafters who want quick adhesive output.

USB and Bluetooth connectivity with HerePrint app

The printer connects via USB for legacy Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP systems and pairs over Bluetooth to iOS devices through the HerePrint application. The app supplies templates for notes, lists, QR codes, barcodes and simple graphics. An auto document feeder and rewind cutter handle the roll media, so no separate cutting tool is required. One roll of sticker paper is included in the box.

Sustained printing limited to simple layouts

Direct thermal technology produces clear text and line drawings continuously without consumable delays, but the manufacturer advises against solid black backgrounds or overly dark images. Extended sessions stay consistent for everyday labelling, lists and study aids. The mechanism is not suited for high-volume shipping labels or dense photographic prints. Buyers needing wider media, colour output or network integration should consider other platforms.

Questions about this item

How long can the 0.231 kg thermal print head run continuously before it overheats?

The direct thermal mechanism prints without ink, so sustained use is limited by the 2‑inch roll length rather than a duty‑cycle timer.

Does the printer get noisy or hot when printing all day from the 14.33 in wide chassis?

Thermal printing is silent and produces minimal heat; the compact 12.83 in high body stays cool during extended sessions.

Which phone operating system and app must I already have to send jobs over Bluetooth?

You need an iOS device with the free HEREPRINT app installed to pair and print via Bluetooth.
