32-Key Mini Keyboard for Young Beginners
The Casio SA46 packs 32 mini keys into a compact green chassis that weighs 2.9 pounds. It offers 100 timbres, 50 rhythms and 8-note polyphony for layered sounds. An LC display shows the selected tone or rhythm, and a simple switch toggles between piano and organ voices. Five built-in drum pads add percussion play, while a headphones output keeps practice quiet.
Ideal for First Lessons Not Stage Work
Children starting lessons benefit from the small key size, lightweight frame and 50 play-along tracks that encourage daily practice. The battery option using six AA cells makes it portable for living-room or garden sessions. Players who need full-size keys, sustain-pedal input, MIDI connectivity or higher polyphony for advancing repertoire should look at larger models.
Plug In or Pop In Batteries and Play
Setup requires only an optional AC adapter or six AA batteries — no drivers, software or assembly. The most common issue is forgetting to buy the adapter separately, so plan for one if mains power is preferred. Volume defaults to a moderate level; the headphone jack mutes the speakers automatically when a plug is inserted.
