Precision 48mm T-Adapter for EdgeHD

The Celestron 48mm T-Adapter connects full-frame DSLR or dedicated astronomy cameras to EdgeHD 9.25, 11, and 14 optical tubes. It replaces the standard 42mm adapter to provide a wider light path that matches larger sensor formats. This accessory is built for imagers who need even illumination across the entire frame.

Integration with EdgeHD optical tubes

The adapter threads directly onto the rear cell of compatible EdgeHD Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It accepts standard T-mount camera rings for secure attachment. The wider 48mm aperture eliminates the truncation caused by narrower T-threads. It does not fit EdgeHD 8 or smaller models, nor non-EdgeHD tubes.

Optical throughput and vignetting control

StarBright XLT coatings on the optical surfaces maximise light transmission for faint deep-sky targets. The 48mm clear aperture supports a 0.69 degree field of view without mechanical vignetting on full-frame sensors. Corner shading from a restricted light cone is removed. No power or batteries are required for operation.
