Purpose & Audience

This kit provides a USB charger and two 3.5 Ah lithium-ion batteries for Trimble GPS receivers and data collectors. Survey crews and field technicians who need continuous power for models such as the R4, R6, R7, R8 or TSC1 will find the spare cells useful for long days on site.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your device accepts Trimble part numbers 29518, 38403, 46607, 52030 or 54344. The charger operates from a USB source, so confirm you have a suitable port or adapter available. The kit also lists compatibility with several HP PhotoSmart cameras and the Pentax EI-2000, but the primary focus is Trimble survey equipment.

Upgrade Path

The package replaces single-battery workflows by letting one cell charge while the other powers the instrument. This is valuable when field sessions exceed the runtime of a single 3.5 Ah pack. It does not increase capacity beyond the stated rating, so users needing higher energy storage will require a different solution.
