Compatible tablets

This car charger powers the T-Mobile SpringBoard and several Huawei MediaPad models including the Ideos S7 Slim, MediaPad 7 Lite and MediaPad 10 FHD. It supplies a 5V 2A output through a DC connection for in-vehicle charging.

Thermals and power draw

The adapter delivers a steady 5V 2A current from a vehicle socket. Normal operation produces minimal heat and no audible noise, drawing only the power required by the connected tablet.

Bundled accessory impact

The package includes a single 3ft cable that reaches from a front socket to a rear-seat passenger. Its length lets the tablet stay in use while charging without pulling on the connector.

Questions about this item

How is the Centenex Electronics car charger installed and what step is often missed?

Insert the DC plug into the vehicle accessory socket and connect the other end to the tablet; the step often missed is confirming the socket is live with the ignition on.

What maintenance or replacement will this charger need later?

Inspect the 3ft cable for fraying or bent connector pins; replace the unit if the output becomes intermittent or the plug no longer seats securely.

What limit appears first under sustained use?

The 5V 2A output rating is the limiting factor; continuous draw at that level can cause the charger to heat up and reduce charging speed.
