Questions about this item

How many charge cycles before the 1800 mAh Ni-MH pack needs replacing?

Ni-MH chemistry typically delivers several hundred full cycles; capacity will gradually fade and the pack should be replaced when run-time no longer meets your shift length.

What limits continuous transmit time on the 7.2 V 12.96 Wh battery?

The 1800 mAh capacity sets the energy budget; high-power transmit drains it fastest, so sustained talking reduces operating hours compared to standby or receive-only use.

Does the black 140.90 x 59.30 x 20.25 mm pack run hot or noisy during all-day duty?

Ni-MH cells stay cool and silent in normal use; only the radio itself generates audible fan or speaker noise, while the battery warms slightly under heavy transmit loads.
