Ni-MH 3.5 Ah replacement battery for Fluke 700, 740, 744 and DSP-4000 calibrators, matching part numbers 116-066, 668225 and BP7235
The Centenex Electronics DS-CS-PF7235XL is a nickel-metal hydride battery built for Fluke 700, 740 and 744 calibrators as well as the DSP-4000 and DSP-4000PL. It replaces part numbers 116-066, 668225 and BP7235 and supplies 7.2 volts with a 3.5 Ah capacity. Technicians who maintain these instruments in the field or on the bench can install it directly without adapters.
Nickel-metal hydride cells generate little heat during normal charge and discharge cycles, so the pack stays cool inside the calibrator housing. Self-discharge is low enough that a stored unit retains usable charge for months. The chemistry also avoids the memory effect that shortens run time on older cell types.
The pack slides into the existing battery compartment of each compatible Fluke model, requiring no cable modifications or external chargers. Its black casing matches the original equipment appearance. Users who need to power larger test stations or multiple instruments simultaneously will need additional power sources.

Power off the calibrator, open the battery compartment, insert the pack with the 7.2 V label facing up, and secure the latch; the step often missed is fully seating the connector before closing the door.
Recharge before storage, keep at room temperature, and cycle it every few months; replace when run-time on the Fluke 740 or 744 drops noticeably.
The 25.20 Wh capacity defines the runtime ceiling; expect voltage to sag under continuous load before the pack reaches its thermal limit.
