Centenex GPS Battery 3.6 Ah Ni-MH

This replacement battery fits Leica GEB121 and GEB122 part numbers plus Geomax ZBA-100 units. It powers survey instruments such as the TPS and TCR series, DNA models, GS50 GPS receivers and SR500 through SR530 systems. The pack delivers 6 V and 3.6 Ah using Ni-MH chemistry in a black housing.

Practical limits of Ni-MH 3.6 Ah cells

Ni-MH chemistry self-discharges faster than lithium types, so charge the pack shortly before field work. Capacity drops in freezing temperatures, reducing daily runtime on long survey jobs. The 3.6 Ah rating assumes a standard discharge rate; heavy continuous load will yield less usable energy.

Check your instrument before ordering

Confirm the original part number is GEB121, GEB122 or ZBA-100 and that the device accepts a 6 V Ni-MH pack. Verify the battery compartment fits the 88.75 x 46.53 x 38.02 mm dimensions. Ensure your charger supports Ni-MH chemistry and the correct voltage.

Questions about this item

Is the 3.6 Ah capacity the only option for this Centenex Electronics GPS battery?

The listing specifies a single 3.6 Ah Ni-MH pack at 6 V, so there is no alternative capacity to select.

What does the 3.6 Ah rating mean when the battery powers a Leica GPS500 or GS50 in the field?

At 6 V the pack stores 21.60 Wh, giving roughly 3.6 ampere-hours of runtime before recharge is needed.

The pack uses a Ni-MH chemistry — does that impose any charging limits compared with lithium types?

Ni-MH cells require a compatible charger and should not be charged with lithium-ion or lead-acid profiles.
