Capacity and grind control

The CEVING MCG-MEGA-PRO is a manual coffee grinder with a 60g bean capacity and 40 external click-ring settings. It uses stainless steel conical burrs to produce consistent particle sizes for espresso through French press. The grinder weighs 0.46 kilograms and measures 6.9 centimetres wide.

Who this suits and who it does not

This grinder fits users who want a single filling for larger brews such as cold brew or French press and prefer visible, step-adjusted grind changes without opening the body. It is not for buyers who need powered operation, automatic dosing or a smaller footprint for minimal packing space.

Deciding specification

The 60g hopper capacity is the single figure that determines whether this model matches the batch size you brew; if your typical dose exceeds that amount you will still need multiple loads.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 6.9 cm wide grinder need on a countertop?

The grinder measures 6.9 cm in width, so allow at least that much flat space plus room for the crank handle to rotate freely.

How do I set the grind size using the external click ring?

Turn the external click ring to one of 40 settings; each click shifts the burrs by 0.05 mm. The step users miss is locking the ring before grinding so the setting does not drift.

When should the stainless steel conical burr be cleaned or replaced?

Brush the burr after every few uses to remove fines and oils; replace it only when grind consistency degrades noticeably after thorough cleaning.
