Inverted Folding Umbrella

The Chakipee LOYS-030 uses a reverse folding system so the dry canopy surface stays on the outside when closed. This keeps moisture contained and prevents wet surfaces from touching bags or car interiors. The automatic open and close mechanism operates with a single button press. It spans 46 inches when deployed.

Commuters and Drivers

Suits adults who want a compact umbrella that stores easily in a glove box, door pocket or bag without dripping. The 13 inch folded length and 1.1 lb weight make it practical for daily carry. Buyers who need a wider canopy for more than two people or who prefer a traditional straight handle should look elsewhere.

10 Rib Windproof Frame

Ten heavy-duty iron alloy ribs support the 210T waterproof fabric to resist inversion in strong gusts. The reinforced stitching and centre rod construction are rated for extreme weather conditions. This rib count and material combination determines whether the canopy holds its shape when wind pressure builds.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the reverse folding system is working correctly after first use?

Open the umbrella fully, then close it — the dry canopy surface should face outward and you should hear a distinct click when the mechanism locks.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The umbrella itself with 10 iron-alloy ribs, 210T waterproof fabric, automatic open/close mechanism and angled handle; no extra accessories are included.

Which size should I pick for two-person coverage?

The 46-inch span (47-inch wingspan) model is the only version listed and is described as ideal for two people.
