What the cable is and who uses it

The CHAUVET DMX5P25FT is a 25 foot 5-pin male to female DMX cable designed for lighting control runs. It connects DMX fixtures and controllers in stage, event and installation environments.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

Technicians needing a standard 5-pin DMX link of this length will find it fits the purpose. Buyers who require a different cable length or a 3-pin DMX connector should look at other options.

The specification that decides fit

The 5-pin DMX connector configuration determines whether this cable matches your equipment ports. Verify that both ends of your run use 5-pin DMX sockets before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 25-foot length or a shorter cable for my lighting run?

The 25-foot cable is ideal when the controller and fixture are separated by up to that distance; measure your run and select the shortest length that reaches comfortably.

How does the 25-foot length affect signal quality in a live lighting setup?

At 25 feet the cable keeps the data run short, which helps maintain reliable DMX communication between the console and fixtures.

What does the 5-pin connector standard mean for connecting my gear?

The 5-pin XLR connectors follow the standard DMX pinout, so the cable plugs directly into any compliant controller or fixture with matching ports.
