AC adapter for 12 V security and lighting systems

This 180 W switching supply converts 110 V or 220 V AC mains to a regulated 12 V DC output rated at 15 A. It is built for indoor installations such as CCTV cameras, LED strip lighting, 3D printers and audio amplifiers. The metal enclosure uses ventilation holes for passive cooling and runs without a fan.

Input range and output adjustment limits

The unit accepts either 110 V or 220 V AC and provides two independent output channels. Output voltage can be trimmed by 10 % from the nominal 12 V level. Automatic protection circuits shut the supply down on overload, over-voltage, over-temperature or short-circuit conditions, then restore operation when the fault clears.

Power headroom for typical loads

At the full 15 A rating the adapter delivers 180 W, which covers most multi-camera CCTV sets and medium-length LED strip runs. Loads that exceed 15 A or demand sustained current above the rated value will trigger the overload cut-off.
