Premium food-grade 316 stainless container

This ChefVentions proofing box is built from food-grade 316 stainless steel with a BPA-free plastic lid. The rectangular vessel measures 11.8 x 8.3 x 3.3 inch and holds 4200 ml, enough for four to six dough balls. The leak-proof, airtight seal locks in moisture and blocks odour transfer between foods. It is aimed at home bakers and outdoor cooks who want durable, stackable storage for proofing and general use.

Check lid care and stack height before buying

The stainless body is dishwasher safe, but the plastic lid is not and must be washed by hand. Verify that your refrigerator shelves can accommodate the 11.8 x 8.3 inch footprint and the stacked height of multiple units. The silicone vent must be pulled before opening, so ensure you are comfortable with that step. No other special installation or tools are required.

Replaces plastic tubs and cling film for proofing

This container upgrades from disposable wrap or thin plastic bins that crack, stain or let dough skin over. The airtight seal and rigid 316 steel walls keep dough supple for longer cold ferments and prevent cross-contamination in a crowded fridge. The jump is worth it if you proof dough several times a week or need a single box that moves from kitchen prep to BBQ, camping or boating without leaking.
