200 Red Silicone OPP Bags

The ChefVentions OPP self-sealing cellophane bags come in a pack of 200 pieces with a red silicone finish. Each bag uses oriented polypropylene for a transparent, non-toxic and odourless food-grade barrier. The self-adhesive strip creates a secure closure without twist ties or heat equipment. They are suited for home bakers, small confectionery businesses and crafters who need quick, bulk packaging for cookies, candy or small gifts.

Sustained Freshness and Handling

The 1.57 mil single-side thickness gives the bags enough rigidity to resist tearing during repeated opening and closing. Oriented polypropylene blocks vapour effectively, so contents stay fresh across multiple days of storage or transport. The widened adhesive strip maintains its tack after several peel-and-seal cycles, reducing the risk of accidental exposure. This makes the bags reliable for market stalls, festival prep or mail-order parcels that sit in transit for extended periods.

OPP Material Limits

Oriented polypropylene performs well as a short-term moisture and aroma barrier but is not designed for high-heat applications or long-term vacuum storage. The adhesive seal is tamper-evident yet can be compromised by oils or heavy condensation on the bag interior. Sharp or heavy items may puncture the 1.57 mil film if forced. Keep the bags away from infants and children to avoid suffocation hazards, and do not use them in cribs, beds, carriages or playpens.

Questions about this item

How much heat do these 1.57 mil bags generate when sealed all day?

The bags are passive packaging; sealing them produces no heat and they add no thermal load to a kitchen or storage area.

What extra equipment must I already own to use the self-adhesive closure on these 200 bags?

No equipment is needed; the adhesive strip is peeled by hand and presses shut without tape, heat sealers or twist ties.

Will the red silicone material stain older cookie tins or vintage jars I keep reusing?

The bags are made from oriented polypropylene, not silicone, and the red tint is on the exterior only; direct food contact stays clear and non-staining.
