The Cherne 268128 is a cast iron mechanical expansion plug designed for industrial plumbing applications. It provides a nominal 12 inch seal with a minimum diameter of 11.95 inches and a maximum diameter of 12 inches. The unit weighs 27.9 and is built for water or air testing and blocking tasks.

Industrial Plumbing Testing and Blocking Use

This plug suits crews performing pipe pressure tests or temporary flow stoppage in large-diameter lines rated for six feet of head. It is not for systems exceeding that back-pressure limit or for pipes outside the 11.95 to 12 inch range. Buyers needing different diameters or higher pressure ratings should look at other equipment.
