Cherry JK-4500EU-2 KC 4500 ERGO keyboard

SKU CH-9RC4-NTS65 MPN JK-4500EU-2

Ergonomic split keyboard with memory-foam palm rest and adjustable tilt feet for a more natural typing posture

  • Ergonomic split layout encourages a natural hand position
  • Extra-soft memory-foam palm rest prevents pressure points
  • Three adjustable feet raise the front for standing comfort
  • Rubber feet keep the keyboard stable on any surface
  • Extra-long USB cable reaches PCs placed under the desk

Ergonomic split layout

The Cherry KC 4500 ERGO keyboard uses a contoured split design that guides hands and arms into a more natural posture. This reduces shoulder and back tension for office workers and anyone who types for long periods. It is not suited for users who prefer a traditional flat rectangular layout or need a compact form factor for limited desk space.

Memory-foam palm rest and adjustable feet

A soft memory-foam palm rest prevents pressure points while three height-adjustable feet let you raise the front edge. Rubber feet keep the keyboard stable in both flat and tilted positions. The long USB cable reaches a PC under the desk without strain. No extra software or drivers are required for operation.

Plug-and-play USB setup

Connect the USB plug and the keyboard works immediately on any system that supports standard HID input. No configuration utilities are bundled. The only common issue is the brief adaptation period needed to become comfortable with the split key arrangement. Once accustomed, typing feels comparable to other Cherry keyboards.

Questions about this item

Will the memory-foam palm rest on the Cherry KC 4500 ERGO need replacing after heavy daily use?

The integrated palm rest uses memory foam that is not user-replaceable; if it wears out the whole keyboard would need to be swapped.

What is the first limit you hit when typing on the Cherry KC 4500 ERGO for hours at a stretch?

The split, angled layout and fixed tenting feet set the posture; fatigue comes from adapting to that fixed geometry rather than from a technical bottleneck.

Does the Cherry KC 4500 ERGO run warm or draw noticeable power when left plugged in all day?

It is a passive USB wired keyboard with no backlighting or active electronics, so it generates no perceptible heat and draws only minimal USB current.
