Wireless keyboard with SX scissor mechanism

The Cherry JK-8550US-2 is a wireless keyboard that uses a 2.4 GHz plug-and-play receiver for a cable-free setup. It employs Cherry SX scissor technology to deliver quiet, precise keystrokes in a slim profile. An integrated metal plate and eight rubber pads provide a stable, non-slip typing platform for daily work.

Office and home users wanting a quiet wireless board

This keyboard suits anyone who values low-noise typing and a tidy desk without cables. It is not for buyers who need a numeric keypad or dedicated macro keys. Gamers requiring mechanical switches or per-key RGB lighting should look elsewhere. The fixed tilt feet also limit adjustability for users who prefer variable typing angles.

2.4 GHz wireless with SX scissor keys

The decisive specification is the 2.4 GHz wireless link combined with Cherry SX scissor switches. This pairing determines the typing feel, noise level and connection method. If your workflow demands a wired connection, Bluetooth pairing or mechanical key switches, this model will not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

How does the 2.4 GHz wireless link behave in a typical office setup?

The included plug-and-play receiver provides a stable, low-latency connection without pairing steps or driver installation.

What does the 2.4 GHz specification cap in practice?

It limits the link to the 2.4 GHz ISM band, so range and throughput are governed by that single radio channel and local interference.

What does the keyboard need to sit securely on a desk?

An integrated metal plate, two fold-out feet and eight rubber pads keep it rigid and non-slip with feet up or down.
