Purpose-built input

The Cherry JM-0300-2 is a corded optical mouse with a 1000 dpi sensor and three buttons. It connects through a USB cable and uses a symmetrical shape that suits either hand. The scroll wheel provides standard vertical scrolling for everyday tasks.

Symmetry and simplicity

This model fits users who want a straightforward wired pointer without extra buttons or software configuration. The rubber side grips help maintain control during quick movements. Buyers who need programmable buttons, adjustable sensitivity levels or wireless freedom should look at other options.

Fixed 1000 dpi resolution

The optical sensor operates at a single 1000 dpi setting, which handles general office work, web browsing and basic desktop navigation comfortably. It runs out of headroom for precision tasks such as detailed image editing or fast-paced gaming where selectable higher or lower sensitivities are required.

Questions about this item

What type of USB port does the Cherry JM-0300-2 mouse need?

The mouse uses a standard USB host interface; any USB-A port on the computer will work.

Can the 1000 dpi optical sensor track on the same surfaces as an older ball mouse?

The optical sensor works on most flat, non-reflective surfaces without a mouse pad, unlike ball mice which require a textured pad.

How can I verify the scroll wheel and three buttons respond correctly after plugging it in?

Open the operating system mouse settings and confirm each button click and scroll movement registers on the test page.
